We strapped on our skis and headed out into the wilds of Turnagain Arm equipped with our wedding rings and avalanche beacons (for better or worse right?) and I got a feel for my new ski gear. Santa sure was good to me this year and he makes a fine hot toddy too.
On December 3, 2011, during gale force winds that ravaged ancient trees, torrential rains that turned moose into beavers and roads so slick our guests needed crampons, we tied the knot in the woody warmth of our new home. Surrounded by the very best of friends and family a person could ask for, we had plenty of spirits to keep up our spirits as the garage flooded and water seeped into the living room through our 35 year-old windows.
